She is occasionally a little bit hand shy and during a partial pick up she struggled a bit and then gave a mild swat. She's a sweet cat who's a little bit unsure and may need a little time to acclimate to her new home.Patches interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. No known history of behavioral problems. We recommend that she go to a home with some cat experience preferred and be well counseled in reluctance to being picked up.A volunteer writes: Miss Patches came to the Care Center because her people were moving. It's a raw deal for such a tender girl, but her former family had awesome things to say about her. For starters, she's a superstar cuddler once she gets to know you. She loves treats, any treats, and takes her playtime seriously--crinkle toys, flying bugs, she just can't resist. In her downtime Precious hangs out by a bedroom window, and though she's an affectionate girl, she prefers to initiate the petting sessions.
