My story

What my friends at ACC say about me:I am finding the shelter a little overwhelming, but when it's just you and me and some peace and quiet you'll see what a love bug I am.I can be slow to adjust to new environments. I prefer to take things at my own pace.I will flourish in a calm environment and a low-traffic home.Braxton tolerates attention and petting but appears to be moderately fearful or stressed in the shelter. He may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to his new home. We recommend that he go to a home with some cat experience preferred and be well counseled in fearful cat behavior.A volunteer writes: I think Braxton is absolutely hilarious because he remained in his cubby and refused to come out the entire time I pet him. But, he made sure that I knew he wanted to be pet. We played sort of a game of peekaboo as he shoved his body through the opening flopping around like a fish. He truly seemed so happy to be pet. I love that Braxton is so unapologetically himself and he uses his cuteness to his advantage making me come to him instead of him having to come to me for pets.
