My story

    Meet Rufus Rockstar! Personality: Rufus Rockstar is a sweet and loving young pup who's ready to shine with the right support! At 7 months old, Rufus, a pit mix, is still very much a puppy, full of energy, curiosity, and a desire to please. He's food-motivated and quick to make friends with new people (though he’s a bit of a scaredy cat when it comes to unfamiliar things).  What Rufus Needs: Rufus is looking for a patient and understanding home where he can get the structure and guidance he needs. He’s come a long way with his training (he already knows sit and down!), but will still benefit from a calm, structured environment to help him build confidence.  Rufus needs an experienced dog parent who can help him continue to develop good habits and make him feel safe in the world around him. While Rufus is dog-friendly, he’s still learning how to play appropriately, so he would do best with a tolerant dog due to the fact he can be a bit overzealous in his playstyle and a person who can step in and help set boundaries for him. Rufus is also on the shy side, so a quiet household with minimal new people would be the best fit for him as he builds his confidence. He’s already had some training, and with your help, he’ll continue to improve. Rufus’s Ideal Home: No kids, and a quiet household would be ideal for Rufus. A dog-savvy person or family who can help him with boundary setting and socialization. A calm, patient environment where Rufus can grow and thrive.
