My story

Sanford is a big, handsome boy with an even bigger heart, ready to find his forever family by the beach! This strong and spirited pup is full of love and looking for an active home where he can thrive. Sanford came to us through no fault of his own—he’s just a bit too strong for his previous elderly owner. But rest assured, he was very well cared for, including receiving heartworm treatment through a local low-cost clinic. He is also due for a dental, but don’t worry, thanks to some incredibly generous donors, his adoption fee and dental costs are fully covered! We think Sanford would be happiest with a fenced yard and some space to stretch his legs, but he’d also do well with daily walks—as long as his new humans are ready for a strong walking buddy! Because of his size and strength, we recommend a home with children 12 and up, and we’d love for Sanford to meet any resident dogs to ensure a great match. Sanford has so much love to give and can’t wait to share his life with someone special.
