My story

Gertrude – Old Soul, Young Zoomies Gender: Female. Breed: Beagle. Name Vibe: 1800s librarian. Energy Level: Kindergarten birthday party. Gertrude may sound like she knits sweaters and yells at neighborhood kids to stay off the lawn—but don’t be fooled. This little beagle is a wild mix of refined charm and absolute nonsense. She's got a nose like a bloodhound and the grace of a dog chasing her own tail through a living room obstacle course. Her favorite pastimes include: Dramatically sighing like she's seen some things Following her nose straight into the snack pantry (and sometimes the trash) Staring into your soul when you're trying to eat without sharing Getting the zoomies during the exact moment you were about to relax She’s sassy, snack-driven, and absolutely not interested in doing anything she doesn't personally feel is worth her time—which is mostly sniffing grass and barking at suspicious air. If you’re looking for a dog who’s got the name of a Victorian schoolteacher but the spirit of a caffeinated toddler in a trench coat, Gertrude is your girl. Just be ready to hear the soulful song of her people... usually at 2 a.m.
