My story

Say hello to Ike! This dashing 12-year-old gentleman is on the lookout for a soft place to land in his golden years. Don’t let his age fool you—he’s still got plenty of pep in his step! Ike is a social butterfly who adores people and gets along well with other dogs.His favorite pastimes? Car rides, playing fetch, tug-of-war, splashing in the water, and going on walks. He’s curious, playful, and full of life, making him the perfect mix of fun and affection.If you’re looking for a loyal companion with a heart of gold (and a love for adventure), Ike is ready to be your new best friend!The Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter is open every day from noon until 6pm (excluding limited holidays/events). You can meet our animals with the convenience of an appointment or as a walk-in. Appointments can be made by emailing adoption@wilco.org. Interested in fostering a dog in need? You can take one of our pups on an adventure for a few hours, giving them a much-needed break from the shelter while you enjoy some quality time.
