My story

Hi, my name is Gemma and although I have moved from home to home across California, I’m in such good spirits! I’ve now been at the shelter for about 6 months and I’m ready to find a forever home. When I first arrived to CVAS, I was only 41 lbs and now I’m a happy 60 lbs!If you love the pool, I’m your girl… especially during these hot San Diego summer days. I love chillin’ with my favorite red, rubber ball while lying in the water. I enjoy a game if fetch but would be content with my ball alone if you felt a little lazy. I love my walks with the volunteers and all the snacks during my training session. My ideal family would have a yard, pool (of course), and no other dogs. I just want someone to give me all the love they have. Please come down to meet me or consider foster to adopt. With foster to adopt I can still do training lessons at the shelter once a week for two weeks. I know the cues “sit”, “down” and “shake”. I’m working on “touch”, “leave it”, “drop it”, “stay” and crate training.
