My story

Who doesn’t love a Basset Hound? Well, how about a Basset mix with a big blockhead?! Meet our big lug Hank the tank. This sweet low-rider, tri-color boy is just a happy soul. He's around 3 years old and weighs 42 lbs. He loves everyone he meets - human or canine. He's ok with calm cats, but if they run he would probably give chase. Hank LOVES food and treats! Did we say treats? And then there’s treats! lol He can be a bit grabby though so small kiddos with little hands may not be best for this goofy boy. Hank walks great on a leash and is always ready for an adventure. This boy appears housebroken as he tries to keep his room clean. He does tend to scatter his toys though. We would love for Hank to have a fenced-in yard to run around in, but as long as his family is able to take him on long daily walks and provide plenty of exercise for him, we would also consider that as an option. Hank is heartworm positive at this time, and is on the slow kill protocol, which we can explain that process to any interested applicant. He can enjoy regular activities. Heart worm disease is contracted from an infected mosquito and can not be transmitted to another dog. This happy go lucky boy is ready for his forever family - could that be you?
