My story

Perdita is a fun-loving, friendly, and incredibly affectionate 2-year-old cat with a heart full of purrs and a passion for play. Her favorite activity? Chasing wand toys, especially the mouse on a string—she goes absolutely wild for it! She’s an acrobat at heart, leaping and twisting through the air in her hunt. She gets so excited, you’ll want to keep an eye out so she doesn’t launch herself into furniture mid-pounce. When she’s not showing off her Olympic-level jumps, Perdita is all about the cuddles. She purrs loudly when you pet her, and if you hold her, she melts into your arms with contentment. She’ll press her face into your hand to ask for more love and will happily curl up on your lap or right against you. If you let her, she’d love to sleep in your bed—but she’s also happy in her cozy cat bed or lounging in a sunny window hammock. Perdita is smart, curious, and endlessly entertaining. She wants to be part of everything you’re doing and will follow you from room to room to stay close. She’s quite the communicator and will talk to you when she wants attention. She also loves people—she’s met several new humans and has climbed right into their laps like they were lifelong friends. While she’s sweet and cuddly, Perdita has lots of energy, so she needs regular playtime to stay happy (and to avoid mistaking your hand for a toy). She loves carrying her “prey” in her mouth like a proud little hunter and often stashes her mouse toy under furniture like a secret treasure. Perdita would love to have a playful cat friend in her forever home. She’s already shown she can be calm and curious around other cats, though a slow intro is always best.
