At his age, Smokey still has a lot of pep in his step and absolutely LOVES going on walks. Whether it`s a short stroll around the block or a longer adventure, Smokey`s tail wags with joy as he explores the world around him. Despite being a senior, he’s got plenty of energy and enthusiasm to enjoy life to the fullest.Smokey is looking for a home where he can get the love and attention he deserves. After spending 11 years with his previous owner, he recently had to part ways and has found shelter life to be a bit overwhelming. He`s been in two foster homes, and although he misses his old life, he forms strong attachments to the people he loves. Smokey would do best with someone who is home often and can help him adjust to his new surroundings. He may need a little time to settle in, but once he bonds with you, he will be your loyal companion, always by your side.Smokey recently underwent surgery to remove several benign masses, and he’s now recovering well and ready for a fresh start. The shelter staff would be happy to tell you more about his surgery and health status, so you can feel confident about his care moving forward.When he’s not out on walks, Smokey loves to take cozy naps and occasionally enjoys playing with soft squeaky toys. He’s a calm, sweet soul who craves stability and affection, and he’s more than ready to find someone to call his own.If you`re looking for a loving companion who will bring joy, loyalty, and cuddles into your life, Smokey could be the perfect fit.
