My story

Another foster writes:Do you love snuggling, the sound of a gentle snore, and perhaps adorable underbites? Then Bella is your gal. This incredibly happy, adaptable dog always has a smile on her face and is ready with a "woo woo" of excitement for her favorite things - meals, walks, or someone coming home to snuggle her. Don't let the powdered sugar face fool you, this slightly senior girl has some LIFE to live and lots of adorably sassy opinions on how she'd like to live it (with a pillow, and under a blanket, if you please! and plenty of time to sniff on walks). She'll walk for miles on a loose leash, sniffing as she goes. She is THRILLED when a stranger calls her over for pets, throwing herself at them butt-first and nudging their hand if they stop petting too soon. She struggles with seeing other dogs, but is easily redirected if you keep an eye out for potential triggers and redirect her before she's seen them. Beyond that she is a snuggly, sassy, silly, sleeeeepy wonder dog who would love nothing more than to cuddle up and show you her perfect personality and equally perfect teefers sticking out from that underbite. My Foster Writes:BELLA is the HAPPIEST and SWEETEST dog I have ever met. She is a manatee, snuggler and also a mermaid. If you seek a low energy and easy baby that sleeps all day and only maintenance required is love, this is your girl. I'm not sure I believe that Bella is 9YO -- she looks younger and seems too healthy, no joint or other problems. Her coat is super glossy and sleek. It breaks my heart that someone dropped her off at ACC after 9 years, and this granny deserves the happiest of her golden years. I cannot recommend her highly enough. She is a true gem. And I have worked with over hundreds of dogs in the past year, training. Bella is one of a kind. (I have never seen her break into a run, so her speeds might be sleep, rest and some walking. AND she does snore just above a whisper while I work from home -- it's very relaxing. Bella can be reactive with others dogs. She is easily redirected, has improved with me and I am confident will become less so over time.)What my friends at ACC say about me:My history is a mystery and my friends here do not know much about me yet!I am a sweet, social, older gal, looking for the perfect forever home!I need a home where there are no other dogs.I would do best in a home without very tiny humans, although I could be open to older human children once I meet them. There is an adorable video of me on Instagram! Click here to experience the cuteness! Primary Color: Brown Weight: 51 Age: 9yrs 5mths 1wks

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Bella, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
