My story

Sue Ellen (aka Evie Bleu) is spending time in a foster home. Check out what her foster says about her: "Evie is not yet a year old so she needs positive outlets to release her energy (daily walks, interactive play sessions, etc). Otherwise pent-up puppy energy will manifest in undesirable ways, such as digging in the yard or chewing up furniture, blankets, shoes, and the like. Due to her underlying FAS, Evie is not a dog you can leave alone in the backyard for hours or alone inside your house all day. She needs an owner who wants to have a loyal companion by his or her side. She's such a lovable cuddlebug, ready and waiting to be a life-long companion for someone special. Evie was diagnosed with ITP (immune thrombocytopenia) on May 12, 2025. She just completed week two of a three-week treatment plan which uses an oral corticosteroid and an oral antibiotic to combat this condition. She is responding well to the medications with her symptoms improving more every day." 🌟 Meet Sue Ellen (aka Evie Bleu!)šŸ’™ This beautiful, high-energy sweetheart is thriving in her foster home—and her transformation is inspiring! Evie came to us scared and shut down, but thanks to her amazing foster family, she’s blossomed into a playful, loving companion. 🐶 Dog & Cat Friendly Evie gets along great with both big and small dogs—her favorite playmate is a 180 lb Great Dane mix! She also shares the couch like a pro with a senior 3-legged cat. šŸ’• šŸ‘©ā€šŸ‘§ā€šŸ‘¦ Loves Women, Learning to Trust Men Evie was fearful in the shelter, especially of men. But she’s come a long way! She now snuggles with her foster dad at night and has started trusting her foster brother, even taking treats from his hand. šŸš— Adventure Buddy Energy Evie is young, smart, and full of zoomies! She’s potty trained, knows "sit," and is improving on leash every day. She’d do best with an active home that can give her the structure, love, and playtime she needs. šŸ›‹ļø Total Cuddlebug When she’s not romping around the yard, she’s happy to settle in for a long belly rub or snuggle session. She’s still a puppy, so she needs guidance—but she has all the potential to be a loyal, lifelong best friend. 🄰 Looking for a playful, affectionate pup who’s ready to bond deeply with her people? Evie Bleu might just be your perfect match. Come meet her and see how far love can go. šŸ’« Thank you for checking to see how Sue Ellen is adjusting to our home.Ā  In less than 48 hours time, she's already settling in to our daily routine, with her demeanor appearing markedly more relaxed than in the shelter.Ā  She's eating and sleeping justĀ fine.Ā  We're crate training, but she's let it be known she prefers the bed (pic attached)!šŸ˜„

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Sue Ellen, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
