My story

Meet Miss Peanut! She is a 1.5-year-old spunky sweetheart with a big personality packed into a petite 35-pound frame. She had a rough start in life, but has thrived in her foster home and is quick to trust people despite past neglect. She’s full of energy, always ready for playtime, but she’s also a total cuddlebug who loves to snuggle up after a good romp. One of her favorite hobbies? Being your shadow—wherever you go, she’s close behind, just happy to be near her person. She would be perfect for someone who works from home, but also does well in her crate when she needs to be home alone. Miss Peanut is crate trained and working hard on basic training and manners. She will need some patience as she perfects her potty training. Due to her rough start, she never had consistency in training before being in her foster home so she’s a bit behind, but learning quickly. She’s still learning not to jump when she gets excited, so a home without small children would be best while she continues her training. She’s fantastic on leash and makes the perfect running buddy, always keeping pace and loving every adventure. When it comes to other dogs, she’s a rough-and-tumble player. She’d do great as a solo dog or with a patient canine companion who can handle her spirited play style. Miss Peanut is looking for an active adopter who can keep up with her energy and continue her training.
