My story

Quality time with you is his love language! Hi there! My name’s Rontu, and I’m a 4.5-year-old Lab Mix weighing 45 pounds. I’m already neutered and in great health! Unfortunately, my previous owner had to surrender me in Valley Center, California, after I suffered a leg injury. No one really knows how it happened, but on 12/23/24, my leg was amputated. But don’t worry—I haven’t let that slow me down one bit! I still live life with a big smile and a wagging tail. But there are a couple things to keep in mind: I shouldn’t be jumping onto couches or cars, and I get a little tired after about 30 minutes of walking. To keep my joints feeling good, I take Dasuquin Advanced Chewable Tablets for Small to Medium Dogs (they last over two months and cost around $33, depending on where you get them). Now, let’s talk about what makes me special! I’m a loving, sweet, and easygoing guy who just wants to be with my humans. I’m low-energy and low-maintenance, with a calm and patient temperament. Oh, and guess what? I love cats! Hanging out with kitty friends is one of my favorite things. I also enjoy taking walks, playing with my toys, cuddling, and meeting new people. Whether we’re running errands, watching TV, or visiting friends, I just love being part of your world. As for training—I’m pretty much an expert in all areas! Potty-trained, crate-trained, and leash-trained, you name it. I don’t have separation anxiety, and I’m not much of a barker either. I’d thrive in a home with mellow, calm owners who won’t leave me alone all day. A cat sibling would be amazing, and I get along well with most dogs, too! I haven’t been around kids much, but with my gentle and patient nature, I think we’d get along just fine.
