My story

Hi! My name is Atreyu, and I am from Arkansas. From his foster: Atreyu is a happy, fun-loving pup! He loves to play with toys and with the other foster pups that we have. He likes to be outside (on warm days!) and sit in the sun. He also is a great cuddler! He would make a great office mate for work-from-home people as he loves to curl up in a chair beside me while I work. He is fully potty trained and sleeps quietly all night in his kennel! We are working on leash walking and he's getting the hang of it. He also does great in the car! He curls up on the passenger seat and stays put the whole ride! If you are looking for that perfect companion, he just might be it!! From the Vet: Atreyu was evaluated for some weakness/lameness attributed to luxating patella's on his rear legs, particularly on the left side. He was started on pain medications and good news; he has responded wonderfully to that treatment and the foster is seeing improvements in strength every day. The vet also rechecked him and his knees are much more stable now that he has grown a bit. His future adopters won't need to do anything other than continue to monitor him with annual primary care visits and possibly preventative joint supplements as he ages.
