My story

Durant is a big, happy guy with a heart to match! He’s friendly, house-trained, and easy to get in and out of his kennel. Volunteers say he’s a great walker, loves stuffed animals, and is always down for some cuddles. Durant knows “sit,” takes treats gently, and has just the right mix of playfulness and chill.One of our volunteers recently took Durant out for Dog for the Day, and he was a total gentleman! He rode calmly in the car, enjoyed the breeze, and was super playful once they got home. They played fetch (even if Durant didn’t always bring it back), went on a relaxing walk where he barely pulled, and ended the day with a cozy nap. He didn’t have any accidents, never tried to chew or jump on furniture, and showed off his sweet side all day long.Despite his size and tough-guy looks, Durant is a softie at heart - gentle, lovable, and ready to make someone very lucky.
