My story

Ivy is a 3-year-old chocolate brown pittie mix with adorable speckled white patches. Weighing just over 50 pounds, she’s the perfect blend of chill and playful!This sweet girl is incredibly people and dog-friendly. Ivy loves meeting new friends and thrives in the company of both humans and canine pals. Ivy enjoys playing with dogs who match her “push and pull” play style and would do great with a well-matched dog sibling (with proper home introductions).Ivy is a dream when it comes to bath time and will happily sit in the bathroom while you shower, watching the water in fascination. Given the chance, she might even love swimming in lakes or pools! She has an amazing energy balance, equally happy to lounge on the couch or join you on a long walk. She’s improved greatly on leash (likely was never walked in previous home) and takes direction well, making walks enjoyable. She’s polite when it comes to food (no begging at the table!) and takes treats gently. Ivy adores plush squeaky toys and can keep herself entertained for hours.While she’s made progress with her separation anxiety, Ivy should be crated when left alone to prevent any anxious mischief. She willingly goes into her crate but may cry a little after you leave.Ivy would thrive in a home with another playful pup but likely wouldn’t do well with cats.
