My story

Meet Rory – Spirited, Smart, and Sweet As Can Be Rory is a 6-month-old beauty, possibly a Lab/Pittie mix (but with rescue pups, it’s always a guess!). She currently weighs a healthy 45 pounds and has the sweetest face- we love the white stripe down the middle! She’s being fostered with her sister Lynn and two other dogs (30 and 80 lbs.), and she’s thriving in a lively, loving home filled with both humans and furry friends. More independent than her sister, Rory is a confident little pup with a big personality. She’s highly food motivated, making training a breeze—especially when treats are involved! Rory’s got an adventurous spirit and is known for breaking into the wildest zoomies you’ve ever seen… and then crashing hard next to her humans at night for some well-earned snuggles. She’s also obsessed with water—if there’s a splash zone nearby, she’s in it. Kiddie pools, sprinklers, helping “rescue” her foster brother from the deep end—you name it. While she may act chill and do her own thing, don’t let her independence fool you—Rory knows exactly what’s going on at all times. She’s got eyes on everyone and everything, making sure the humans (and pups!) she loves are safe and happy. A quiet guardian with a goofy side. Rory is fantastic with kids—she lives with a 12 and 16-year-old and is often around younger kiddos (3 and 6), and she’s been nothing but gentle and sweet. She’s crate and potty trained, good in the car (a calm, quiet rider), and enjoys toys—especially ones that squeak or crunch. She’s also fostered alongside cats and mostly indifferent to them. Rory would do great in a home with another playful pup or as the solo star, as long as her people are ready for a mix of zoomies, smarts, and heart. Our PNW dogs are brought to you in style by a beautiful USDA licensed semi-truck, equipped with air conditioning for comfort, two drivers, and 2 onboard attendants providing 24-hour care. Our East Coast route will travel in a private, air conditioned 3LP-run van transport. Pick up day is unforgettable! You will get to follow along on their journey through a private FB Event page, where you will see photos, have the opportunity to connect with other adopters, and receive updates and constant communication along the way. One of our Adoption Coordinators can help to find the closest transport pick up location to you! The adoption fee is $900.00 and includes all vetting as recommended by our doctor: DAPP (2 to 4 depending on age and time in the program), Bordetella, Rabies vaccine (if old enough), multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, 2 months of heartworm preventative, extended medical such as dentals, eye surgeries, and orthopedic surgeries prior to adoption when suggested by our partner vets, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar for dogs over 4 months old, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and many priceless years of love and loyal companionship! *WE ARE TOLD THAT WE GO ABOVE AND BEYOND MEDICALLY. This is the feedback we tend to get, although we cannot guarantee perfect health. *To fully vet a dog in the PNW or the NE at many vets it would be upwards of $1,800 just to fix, vaccinate, chip, etc. The adoption fees charged by our rescue do not cover our expenses medically for each animal, but we offset costs with donations. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be!
