My story

Meet Sawyer, an adorable four-month-old Pug/Terrier mix puppy! Sawyer, his mom, and siblings came to I.C.A.R.E. Dog Rescue from a local shelter after they were found as strays in a field. The babies were only a week old and so tiny but Mama Hope was the best mom right from the start, so loving and nurturing.  Puppy Sawyer has had the best time in foster care! He's learned how to play respectfully with his foster siblings (who range from an 85lb Lab to a 16lb Terrier) and they have so much fun chasing each other, playing tug-of-war, or just chilling next to each other with chew toys. Sawyer has been a little rockstar with his basic commands like Sit and Wait, walks great on a harness and leash, and has been doing wonderfully with his crate training (which he's in for a few hours each day while mom is at work). He's also mastered his potty training, not having any accidents inside or even in his crate! Sawyer has the full run of the house and yard with his foster siblings while the parents are home and he's learned to respect the plants, shoes, and other non-chew toys around the house. But beware because if you leave a sock on the floor he's likely to steal it and hide it in his toy box – not to chew on but just to keep safe for you!
