My story

Island Boy Turned Adventure Buddy Hey mon! I’m Fergus — a 5-year-old, 60-pound Lab/Pittie mix with sunshine in my soul and adventure in my heart. I was rescued from the Bahamas, so I'm ready to bring island vibes straight to your home (with a side of goofy charm). Life wasn’t all hammocks and ocean breezes for me. I came from a sanctuary in the Bahamas that had to shut down, but that just gave me the chance to find you! I’ve got a warm, loving temperament and a zest for life — I love to run, play with balls, explore the great outdoors, and soak up the sun. I am blind in one eye, which just means I like to take my time getting to know new spaces. I might bump into a few things at first, but don’t worry — I figure it out fast! Because of this, I’d do best in a home without stairs and with a human who’s cool with approaching me from my good side (I promise it’s my very good side). I also may mark in a new home, but once I feel safe in my space I’ll knock it off.  I’m house-trained, leash-trained, and I don’t have separation anxiety — I can totally hang solo if you’ve got errands to run or waves to catch. I can be a little picky with other dogs (especially around food — island dogs learn to guard what’s theirs), so feeding me separately and slow intros are best. I haven’t met cats or kiddos much, but I’m open to a calm, respectful vibe. If you’re looking for a pup who’s laid-back, loving, and ready to be your beach buddy for life — I’m your guy. I’ll bring the heart, the tail wags, and all the tropical energy you could want. One eye, zero worries — just good vibes and belly rubs. Let’s make some waves together! My adoption fee is $300 and that includes spaying/neutering, shots, and microchip.
