My story

Meet Hank! Hank is a 7 year old German Shepherd mix. He’s both house and kennel trained and knows basic commands! Hank does well with all dogs! He won’t initiate play so being an only dog is no problem for him, either way he prefers to snuggle with his human! Although Hank has not harmed one of the cats in his foster home he does bark at them so a home with no cats would be best! He has been around kids 7+ and has done great with them! We’d suggest no kids under 5 due to him being a bit territorial of food/toys. Hank is a very chill guy (easily the best behaved out of his 4 foster siblings) and just the sweetest angel. He has never once used the bathroom in our home nor been destructive of anything. He usually only gets excited whenever it’s meal time or when his human comes home but he never jumps unless you encourage him! He loves to curl up on the couch and snuggle and has recently found a love for balls/toys! Although he doesn’t require a ton of activity he does love a good walk and does well on a leash! He would be a great fit for a calm household looking for a low maintenance dog. Hank came to us as a stray, we don’t know his past but judging by how submissive he is we feel it’s safe to assume someone didn’t treat him very kindly. Hank never exhibits any behavioral issues besides being a bit territorial. He will need to be fed in a kennel and does not like to have toys or food taken from him so please make sure everyone in your home is aware of this!
