My story

Myrtie is a 4-year-old beauty with the calm, wise heart of an old soul. She may take a little time to warm up, but once she feels safe and secure, she’ll happily lean into pets and head scratches — on her terms, of course.Myrtie would thrive in a quiet, patient home with cat-savvy humans who understand feline body language and respect her boundaries. She’s not one for constant fuss, but she’ll reward your understanding with moments of true connection and affection.If you’re someone who appreciates a cat with a strong sense of self — and a whole lot of heart — Myrtie may be the perfect match. Give her the space she needs, and she’ll show you just how deeply a cat can love.Adoptable cats/kittens are spayed/neutered, started on core vaccines per shelter protocols, microchipped, FIV/FeLV tested, and started on monthly preventatives. Adoptions hours (no appointment needed) are M/T/W/F 10 am - 12:30 pm and 2 pm -4 pm; TH 10 am -12:30 pm and 2 pm -6:30 pm, and SAT 9 am -1 pm. To schedule an appointment outside of those hours, and/or to learn more information regarding a particular animal, please call the Feline Department at 410-848-4810 ext 822. If no one answers, please leave a detailed message with your name and phone number, and the call will be returned by end of business Monday - Friday. Adopters can prepare for their visit by being 21 years of age or older, having permission from their landlord to bring a new pet into their household, having some form of ID that shows their current address, and by bringing a suitable carrier to take their new companion home in. The adoption fee can be paid using cash, debit or credit and is based on age: Cats 1 year and younger are $75; cats 2 years to 7 years are $50; and 8 years and older are $25.
