My story

Beloved musical legend Dolly Parton is known for her classic tunes, mile-high confidence, iconic look, and her generosity. She rocks her flamboyant style with pride and swagger and she has a smile that lights up any room she enters. We’d love to introduce you to our very own Dolly- a sweet little gal who also has a million dollar style and a spunky, upbeat personality to match! Dolly has enjoyed a couple of short-term foster placements, and we’ve learned a lot of great things about her. In one home Dolly was crate trained and house trained with a doggy door. Smart cookie! She did well with dogs her size and larger in the home. Another foster parent shared, “She loves cuddling! Just wants to be by your side all the time. She is very friendly to everyone she meets.” In that home she was also house trained and was well- behaved when left home alone. Dolly’s volunteer friends can’t get enough of her, sharing:“Little Dolly is so freaking sweet!! She is so wiggly and affectionate! Adorable, freaking adorable! She was wiggly but easy to leash up and walk to a play yard. Once in the yard she immediately came over to give and get affection. She would follow her much larger kennelmate around the yard exploring and then kept returning to give me the sweetest little kisses. She`s such a tiny, perfect pitty!”“Dolly is a sweet little petite girl who loves to cuddle. She’s easy to leash and she’s well-behaved in a play yard with her kennelmate. They run around a bit and hang out. She is not bothered by dogs walking by.”Dolly has shared her kennel politely would like to meet any resident dogs before heading home to ensure a good fit. Dolly has valley fever that is well managed with daily medication at this time; it doesn’t slow her down one bit!In 1971 Dolly Parton and Porter Wagoner sang the song All I Need is You, which included the line “All I need is you, all I want is you. To give my loving to, all I need is you…” We may have imagined it, but we’re pretty sure we heard our little pup Dolly humming that tune, thinking of YOU!
