My story

*Oscar's adoption fee has been Sponsored by the 2025 Senior Pet Adoption Grant through PetFinder!* Let's talk about Oscar and his goofy little grin. Oscar is a 9 year old, 15 pound, Chihuahua and we don't know why he is still with TNT and not in his forever home! Oscar is truly an independent potato. He's pretty reserved and does his own thing. Don't worry though, if he has an opinion, he is not afraid to share it with you! He coexists with other dogs his age just fine, but he will pass on puppy antics thank you very much. With proper introductions, he's generally fine, but calm dogs his size are his preference! Same with cats and kids - just be respectful and let him live his life, and he probably won't care if you're there! He warms up to new humans pretty quickly and will even seek out some pets! Oscar does well with free roam and he loves to go outside. He will let you know when he needs to do his business and is potty trained when he's on a schedule! He is on daily medications for a heart murmur and general old man aches and pains. About those opinions we mentioned earlier? He has a lot of opinions about the vet. Specifically, he is not a fan - 0/10 does not recommend. This can be easily managed with pre-visit meds to tone down the drama :) We think Oscar would love to join a quiet home where he can snack, nap, and get lots of head scratches. He's not a big fan of stairs (he's not worried about getting 10k steps, okay?) so he'd prefer limited to no stairs in his permanent pad. He gets excited for leash walkies and car rides, so if you'd like to take him out and about he will happily join you! Above all else, Oscar is hoping to find a family who understands him and loves him for who he is and we don't think that's too much to ask at all! Oscar's adoption fee is Waived
