My story

This lady would never have you guessing that she is 10 years old with her happy face, and always wagging tail. Mavius walks easily on leash and good with other dogs too! Mavius enjoys car rides and meeting new people. Here is what a volunteer had to say about Mavius going offsite. `Put her front legs into car and was trying to get up but struggled so I gave her a boost. During the ride she stayed in the back with no doggie seatbelt or anything keeping her from getting up front. She was panting heavy but couldve been due to the heat. She got out of the car easily. And same thing on the way back. She was friendlt with everyone she met of all ages, adults and kids as young as 5, and pulled towards other dogs, seeming to want to greet them. She was restless at first and wanted to walk around but would sit or lay next to me while I was sitting for 20 minutes without getting restless. She allowed pets all over and even from people who leaned over her. She ate all treats. She was stubborn when we walked around sometimes and wanted to smell or eat grass instead of continue walking. She was easy to handle and would be a good dog for a new volunteer to take offstie.`Mavius` adoption fee is $100. She is spayed and microchipped and has age-appropriate vaccinations. A licensing/microchip fee may apply. Mavius is currently resting in foster. If you would like to meet her, please contact New Hope at newhope@sfhumanesociety.org Thank you!Santa Fe Animal Shelter is proud to partner with GoodPup! Dogs learn best in familiar, comfortable environments with few distractions, so GoodPup training happens at home. Short, focused sessions allow your dog to concentrate and guided daily practice quickly cements new skills. Meet with a top-rated, expert dog trainer each week, on 1-1 video calls, while learning essential skills that solve any unwanted dog behavior. Best of all, anyone who adopts a dog from us will receive 1 FREE week of dog training, plus 10% off for life on future activity. In addition, GoodPup will donate to the SFAS! If you have any questions or would like to adopt MAVIUS, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
