Meet Copper, a one and a half year old Pit mix weighing a little over 70 pounds. Copper was found after almost being hit by a car and is currently in foster with his finder who also happened to be one of our amazing foster families. Copper was a little shy when he came into the shelter for vaccines but is the opposite in his foster home. Copper loves water, and enjoys playing in the creek at the foster home. He is an extremely happy, cuddly, and friendly boy who loves to play with anything and anyone. Copper loves to play fetch and play with the other dogs who range in size from small to large, and he loves to ride in vehicles. He is working on his leash training and the command “off” he just gets so excited sometimes! Copper currently is living with cats and doing well, at times he shows some interest but is easily redirected, we just recommend a slow introduction and supervision with cats for the first couple of weeks. Copper can jump a four foot fence so if your fence is on the shorter side we recommend supervision when outside or leash walking him. He has not had any potty accidents in the foster home, so may be pottty trained. Copper is just a friendly goober who wants to love and be loved, can you give him the love and attention he deserves?
