Tia is a medium, 45lb girl with a lot of energy and a lot of love to give. With an eagerness to please, and plenty of athleticism that transitions into her playing style, Tia is quite the character. She LOVES any kind of toy and will go to fetch just about anything that is thrown that she can fit into her mouth. Chew toys, balls, chew bones, sticks, pinecones... anything can be a toy, and she is just as excited for a little twig as she is for a ball. Tia came into our care from a home that had 25+ dogs in their home. They were not able to properly care for the dogs and they needed help. Tia has had the opportunity to flourish and begin to learn, but she will need some training to teach her more manners. Tia needs a home with space, as she loves to run and play. She will sit for her food, and is very trainable, she is eager to please. She would do best with an experienced family that can work with her to guide her to being the best version of herself. Her energy level may not be compatible with all families, she has the average energy of a Labrador. Tia is currently in a playgroup with another dog her size, one smaller and one that is 86 lbs. She is learning to walk on a leash and would do best with a fenced in yard to be able to properly run and play inside of. She can be a resource guarder with food, we have solved for this by feeding her with a "slow feeder" bowl and she takes herself to a crate when it comes time for food. ***************PLEASE READ THIS FOR NEXT STEPS**************** Please COPY and PASTE the following URL for the adoption application: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FPSL/Dog COMPLETED APPLICATIONS TAKE PRECEDENCE OVER INQUIRIES. If you are interested in adopting, the FIRST step is to complete an application. Please note that our animals are rescued and transported from South Mississippi where major animal overpopulation means less homes. We only transport them once adopted, in most instances, we can be available for a video call once an application has been approved. We are USDA certified, and WE PERSONALLY TRANSPORT OUR OWN adopted animals to meet their new families. We transport every 2-3 weeks. Our adoption fee includes the spay/neuter, age-appropriate vaccinations, Microchip, heartworm tested, Mississippi Health Certificate, and the transport service to get the new family pet to you ***Breed input is required for each platform but is not guaranteed to be accurate. We do not DNA test. We rescue animals from different situations. We discuss breed assignments with our vets to label them as accurately as possible.*** We are currently unable to adopt pets to ME and RI residents.
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Tia ~ Loves ALL Toys, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
