My story
Meet 5 year old, 11 lb Miss Maggie. Maggie was rescued from a kill shelter in July 2024. Her initial medical exam indicated a heart issue, which we had to address. This led her down a long road of specialist appointments and medication. Maggie needed heart surgery for her long-term survival. For six months, volunteers cared for her, medicated her, raised funds for her heart surgery—but most of all, loved her for her pleasant, sweet, playful disposition. Maggie never showed signs of being ill. She is a trooper. Her surgery was a success! Maggie has been spayed and fully vetted. We are thrilled that Maggie is ready for her forever home. Maggie loves the car, is crazy for squeaky toys and can be energetic, yet chill. She is a great companion dog, does well as an only dog, as well as being playful with other pups.
