MIMBO

My story

Mimbo is a sweet, snuggly boy who lived in one home since he was just a puppy. He reportedly did well with kiddos and other dogs in the home and was described as affectionate and playful. “He loves to be the center of attention. He’s really still a puppy in a 90-pound dog’s body.”During a brief stay in a foster home Mimbo was a quiet houseguest who liked sleeping at the foot of his foster person’s bed. He had no accidents in the house and was well- behaved when left home alone. Mimbo loved a large stuffed lamb toy and was polite on leash; his foster described him as affectionate, calm, and a devoted companion.Mimbo is also a favorite at the shelter- here’s what some of his friends have said:“First time walking Mimbo, and what a delight. He exited the kennel calmly and walked loose on the leash. Mimbo takes treats with an extremely soft mouth. I don’t think I have ever had a dog be so polite. Mimbo was incredibly easy and lovely to walk.”“After another volunteer told me how sweet he is, I decided to take Mimbo for a walk. I was pleasantly surprised at how easily he leashed up and walked out of the kennel area. This boy seems to love everyone. He just thrives on attention and love from humans. I don’t think he meets anyone he doesn’t love and if scratches on his soft for happen, he loves you even more. When asked to sit he knew that and was rewarded with a treat which he took with a gentle mouth. I want to make you aware that he LOVES his treats! Mimbo is a very gentle giant and a dog with a big heart that just wants loves and to be in a home where he can thrive and make you feel special.”Mimbo has been social and easygoing when meeting other dogs in playgroup.
