My story

Maya and Simba have been each other’s rock through the hardest of times. Abandoned in a backyard, they were left to fend for themselves with no promise of a future. Sweet Maya, a devoted Shih Tzu mix, gave birth to four beautiful puppies—each of whom has now found a loving home. Now, it’s Maya and Simba’s turn to find theirs, together. When they first arrived in rescue, they didn’t know what to think. Life had been uncertain for so long that trust took time. But beneath their initial shyness, all they truly wanted was love. With gentle patience, they’ve blossomed into affectionate, loyal companions who simply want a family to call their own. These two are the perfect pair—good with people, wonderful with other dogs, and always ready for a treat. They are kennel trained, seem to be potty trained, and are eager to continue learning in a home where they feel safe. Most of all, they are ready to love and be loved in return. Maya and Simba share an unbreakable bond, one that has carried them through their toughest days. We would love nothing more than to see them continue their journey together, in a forever home where they will never have to worry again.
