Kava - Laid Back

My story

Kava is the sweetest 3 year old cat you could imagine. Kava isn't the most eccentric or outgoing cat and easily becomes overwhelmed with too many other animals or people, but she does enjoy quiet, personal spaces where she can lounge. During cleaning, Kava can constantly be found in what is called a "kitty casa," a box on top of one of our shelves, and will announce her desire for attention with soundless meows and loud purring from above. She will oftentimes reach out to lightly tap your shoulder if she thinks you're ignoring her and enjoys gentle affection. We believe she would come out of her shell a bit more in a quiet environment, as she seems to come out and about more when less cats are in the room. Unfortunately, it is impossible at the moment for her to be as outgoing as she wants to be in her current environment, so we hope that her time in a home will be therapeutic. She enjoys sleeping in a bed and will sometimes come to sleep right by your head when she's comfortable. At 3 1/2 years old, Kava has been in our rescue in our cat room since she was only a few months old. We don't want this to be the end of her story. She has waited a long time for someone to choose her and spoil her rotten. Help Kava get her happily ever after! Please note that our animals are rescued and transported from South Mississippi where major animal overpopulation means less homes. We only transport them if adopted, in most instances, we can be available for a video call once an application has been approved. We are USDA certified, and WE PERSONALLY TRANSPORT OUR OWN adopted animals to meet their new families. We transport every 2-3 weeks. Our adoption fee includes the spay/neuter, age-appropriate vaccinations, Microchip, Mississippi Health Certificate, and the transport service to get the new family pet to you
