My story

My foster writes: Meet Finn! This senior sweetheart is the ultimate couch potato-literally. His favorite pastime? Snoozing with his entire face smooshed into the cushions (check out his photos for adorable proof). Finn is declawed, so he's not much of a climber, but he's still a curious little guy who loves exploring his surroundings at his own pace. He is really shy at first but after a while he likes cuddling up and get kisses (he will literally put his face near your face so you can kiss him) at the end of a long day at work. Give him a few days to settle in, and he'll be your loyal, nap-loving companion for life. If you're looking for a laid-back, adorable cuddle buddy, Finn is your guy! What my friends at ACC say about me:Finn was in the den and looking out through a crack in the den cover, and when the assessor began speaking to him, he moved away such that he couldn't be seen. Then the den cover was removed, and he looked warily at the assessor kissing when approached with treats. He did eat some treats carefully, but each time he was approached with either treat bag or the squeeze up treats Where are the scratcher tool he would hiss. He also began growling, but he did allow petting with the tool while hissing.Finn tolerates attention and petting but appears fearful or stressed in the shelter. He may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to his new home. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.A volunteer writes: Watching his neighbors get adopted like someone who is just happy to see their friends shine, Finn isn't one to turn the spotlight on himself. Although I wish he would because he is spectacular. You probably won't see him waving his (declawed) paws at the front and he might not tap your shoulder as you walk by, but though he's quiet, he knows when to take initiative. Finn was stretched out on his side and rested his cheeks on my hand when I offered some scrtiches. Plopping them out in a show of trust is enough to awe me, but when I watched Finn stretch a paw out to knead while leaning his head back into my hand for more, I was completely smitten. He has barely even opened his eyes and was still able to demonstrate his unparalleled cuddling capabilities. We know it's not always easy for a gentle kitty to stand out in a busy shelter, but we'd love for someone to take a chance on him. Primary Color: Gray Weight: 10.7 Age: 9yrs 4mths 1wks

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Finn, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
