My story

Affectionate, Human-Oriented, Calm You’ll go cuckoo for Cocoa Puff once you meet her! This friendly tabby girl is as sweet as she is easygoing. She spends her days lounging near her foster and loves people of all ages! Cocoa Puff is the perfect work from home buddy. She likes to sleep on her foster’s desk all day with her tail on their keyboard, and if you get up from your chair, you can expect to have her steal your seat immediately. If your desk is looking a little lonely, Cocoa Puff is sure to make work more fun! But even if you don’t work from home, she’s happy just sleeping all day until you get home. Outside of the office, Cocoa Puff will still try to be by your side as much as she can, whether that’s in bed next to you or curled up on your lap (bonus points if you have a fuzzy blanket on)! She’s also pretty talkative and likes to let you know when she wants some love. She’s most vocal in the mornings and will respond back to you if you talk to her! Cocoa Puff lives with kids in her foster home and she does great with them! She doesn’t mind being picked up by older children and will seek out cuddles from them - especially if they have a fuzzy blanket on them. But they better be ready for some vigorous biscuit-making! Whether you’re a kid or adult, no one is spared from Cocoa Puff’s belly flops - she’ll do these in front of anyone she wants to rub her belly and pet her! Outside of her main hobbies of sleeping, making biscuits, and chatting, Cocoa Puff will get the occasional short-lived zoomies, but she’s much more lounge-y than she is wild and playful. She also really enjoys looking out the window, watching birds. If you’re looking for a super sweet and social kitty, you will definitely want to meet Cocoa Puff! Cocoa Puff has tested positive for Feline Leukemia. FeLV is not a type of cancer. It's a virus that causes a weaker immune system and often a shorter life-span. For the most part, 'FeLVies' are just like any other cat. APA! waives the adoption fees of these cats, and provides FeLV-related treatment and support post-adoption. Cocoa Puff can only live with other FeLV+ cats, but dogs and other animals are just fine! Any questions? We'd love to talk with you about FeLV care.
