My story

My foster writes: Midnight is a true love bug! He is sweet and affectionate and so well behaved. He's looking for someone to cuddle all day with. His favorite thing to do is rub his face against your face for some real affection. He is shy at first but once you have his trust, you are his favorite person in the world.When Midnight isn't relaxing with his friends, he likes to play with his coil toy, mouse toy, and also enjoys cat tv (watching chipmunks and birds) on YouTube!What my friends at ACC say about me:I lived with children in my previous home.I have lived with cats in my previous home.I would appreciate slow introductions to new people and places to help me feel safe.I am a sweet, social, older gentleman, looking for the perfect forever home!Midnight was in the cubby at the back appearing slightly wary but sniffed treats and allowed all petting while remaining calm. Then he was partly coaxed out on to the shelf, using squeeze up treats where he accepted more petting. Then he came down into the main kennel on his own, and began eating his dry food, and with more petting allowed to be picked up and then set back down and then he resumed eating. He's a sweet cat and needs a little time to warm up. Midnight interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. No known history of behavioral problems. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for cat parents with either an average amount of cat experience or demonstrate a basic understanding of typical cat behavior. A volunteer writes: Midnight is working on his courage! This is a new experience for him and he is rightfully feeling a bit shy! He did accept head pets and didn't shy away, although remaining at the back of his kennel. He is trying his best, and for us, his best is enough after only being here for a short period of time. He relaxed under my touch and seemed to enjoy the pets. I found that a slow approach was best for him so he knew I was there to show him love and that he was safe. He was truly a gentle soul.
