My story

Weight: 14 lbs Dog friendly: Yes, requires one in the home Cat friendly: unknown, not tested Kid friendly: older kids only Potty trained: Yes, good on a schedule Crate trained: No, does not like the crate Izzy is a very smart, playful and goofy typical JRT in so many ways. Once Izzy has chosen you as her person, she is very loving and protective. Whether you are getting home from being gone for hours or just getting out of bed from 2 feet away from her, she will let you know just how happy she is to see you with her extremely fast wagging tail and little love grunts as she dances around you. Izzy LOVES her toys. She typically likes to carry her miniature hedgehogs around in her mouth as she goes about her day, inside and outside. She seems to really enjoy car rides and is usually very quiet and calm until you get to your destination and then she is ready to go. Izzy loves walks and sniffing and for the most part can be easy to take on walks until she sees other dogs and then her protective side comes out and she is quite reactive. Izzy is a huge fan of routine and change can be hard on her. Izzy's past has clearly taught her that people can be scary but with patience and time she is slowly learning to trust. Izzy currently has two foster siblings (a male Shih Tzu mix and a female Beagle) and does well with them. Izzy does best with a calm companion dog that she can take cues from to help her with her anxiety. Izzy can be one of the most rewarding and sweet dogs that you would ever meet if she's given enough time and patience. Adoption Fee: $325
