My story

If you are interested in adopting this dog, please fill out our dog adoption questionnaire and e-mail any questions to: sueb@homewardtrails.org PLEASE VISIT THIS WEBSITE TO FIND THE ADOPTION QUESTIONNAIRE: http://www.homewardtrails.org/adopt-a-pet/adoption-forms/ LOCATION: Foster home ADOPTION COORDINATOR: Sue Bell ADOPTION FEE: $475 This fee INCLUDES spay/neuter and microchip. **Ask me about our many adoption benefits that include free exams, pet insurance, training and other discounts! ESTIMATE WEIGHT FULL GROWN: 44 lbs - a perfect size! KNOWN WITH DOGS: Gaia would prefer to be your only pup so she can bask in your love and attention. KNOWN WITH CATS: Great. She is a bit scared of them so currently will not walk by the household cat in her foster home. Very respectful of the kitty! KNOWN WITH KIDS: Gaia seems great with people of all ages. She has not met a human yet she does not love, and did great with kids in a previous home. Wiggles, cuddles, kisses, and just loves to be hugged. KNOWN CUES: Not sure yet. We'll report back. She walks VERY WELL ON LEASH. KNOWN HOUSEBREAKING AND/OR CRATING: Goes nicely into her crate. May whine a bit to start but then quiets down. She is also house-trained. KNOWN LIKES: People! Cuddles! Playtime! KNOWN DISLIKES: None known at this time ABOUT THIS ANIMAL: Gaia will be the perfect addition to a family who loves an affectionate, playful dog. She walks well in an urban environment, seems to be crate trained and knows how to be calm in the home after her walk. She's the perfect size as we expect she'll be under 45 lbs full-grown. She loves cuddles and toys and loves to kiss other dogs and people the most! She is truly a gem! Her previous foster family said: "Gaia is a lovable pup with an infectious personality and an endless zest for life. She is the kind of dog who’ll make you laugh every single day—whether she’s playfully chasing the stream from the garden hose or insisting on riding along for car trips with her ears flapping in the breeze. • Goofball energy meets loyal companion • Obsessed with walks—she struts like he owns the sidewalk • Car rides are her jam • Water hose chaser extraordinaire—she takes her job very seriously Don’t let her looks fool you, she is ready to be your best friend, your co-pilot, and your daily dose of joy." Gaia was spayed during her stay at Homeward Trails, and and she has had surgery to address a torn cruciate ligament.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Gaia, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
