My story

Meet Venus, a spirited and affectionate two-year-old American Pit Bull Terrier mix weighing 42 pounds. This lively girl is full of energy and eager to share her zest for life with an active family. Whether it's running, jumping, or playing tug—her absolute favorite game—Venus is always ready for action! She thrives on physical activity and would do best in a home with a yard where she can stretch her legs and burn off energy. Venus is not only playful but also incredibly smart. She’s both toy- and treat-motivated, making her an excellent candidate for training. A harness is recommended for walks, as she’s still learning that strolls aren’t races! She enjoys pets and handling, making vet visits a breeze. If you have another dog at home, a meet-and-greet is essential. Venus’ enthusiasm may be a bit much for a laid-back pup. Her $225 adoption fee includes spaying, vaccinations, microchipping, and a complimentary wellness exam at Phoenix Mountain Animal Hospital.
