My story

Have a soft spot for seniors? Ember and Callie are two sweet, loving and inseparable 7 year olds looking for a forever home together! These two were recently transferred to ARF from an overcrowded shelter and now they’re hoping to find a family who will embrace their bond and provide them with the comfortable, loving environment they deserve. Although they are considered senior cats, Ember and Callie have plenty of life and love left to offer. At seven years old, they are still in the prime of their lives and have many years of companionship, play and affection to share. Senior cats make wonderful pets, offering a calm and affectionate presence while still having the energy to enjoy their favorite activities. Ember and Callie are both full of life, ready to explore new experiences with their new family. As a bonded pair, Ember and Callie have shared a deep connection throughout their lives and must be adopted together. They find comfort in each other’s presence and would be devastated if separated. By adopting both, you’ll be bringing double the love and joy into your home. Ember does have some dental issues that require monitoring and possible future treatment, such as a teeth cleaning and potential extractions. This is noted in her health file and we will provide all the necessary information to her adopter to set Ember up for success in her new home. With the proper care, Ember will continue to thrive alongside Callie. Adopting senior cats like Ember and Callie comes with many benefits. They are often calmer, more affectionate and well-suited to a relaxed home environment. Senior cats are typically already past the more demanding kitten stages and are ready to settle into a predictable routine, making them wonderful companions for those looking for a loving, gentle presence.
