Chino

My story

Meet the handsome and silly Chino! While Chino can be skittish and nervous at first, once comfortable he is such a sweet boy. Chino is still learning the ropes of being a typical dog and will need help with his training. He is very treat motivated and had shown improvement in basic commands and leash training since being with us! While Chino can be dog reactive from a distance, he would love to have a dog friend to go home to and to help teach him doggy manners! Chino does become fearful in new environments and generally needs help becoming more socialized. He is currently on two behavioral medications, trazadone and fluoxetine, to help with his anxiety. He will need to continue the fluoxetine long term, but will slowly be able to be weaned off the trazadone. We recommend Chino go to a quiet home where he can take his time to adjust and get comfortable. He may never be the type of dog that can go to family outings or be in large gatherings of people.
