My story

Please contact Cathleen (cathleen.pronc@gmail.com) for more information about this pet.Http:/www.pugrescuenc.com/images/PRONC_Express.jpgMaya is a 1 year old brindle pug that was rescued from a puppy mill. Maya is a wonderful pug who is a diamond in the ruff and once trained she will be a true gem! She had eye surgery to close down her eyes medial canthoplasty to protect her eyes and was found to have pigmentary keratitis. She will need prescription eye drops, Tacrolimus and follow ups at an eye specialist, for the rest of her life to control this and to protect what vision she has left. Maya loves to play with dogs her size but is afraid of larger dogs. She is great with the pugs of all ages in her foster home. She needs someone willing to work with her on house training using positive reinforcement. She is trained to washable pads and working on going outside to potty. She is also fearful of men but working on that. She needs a secure fenced in yard as she hasn't learned to leash walk. These are all things she can learn with someone willing to work with her. Spayed, up to date on routine shots, microchipped, heartworm negative and current on heartworm prevention. She is fostered in Virginia Beach VA and her adoption fee is $450.00. Please put in your adoption application on our website www.pugrescuenc.org under the available pug tab. She would be a 15 year plus commitment. ALL PUGS MUST BE INDOOR DOGS. They need to be on monthly heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We only adopt to states surrounding NC and VA.   Adopt A Pet. . .  Save A Life!http://www.apugrescue.org Http://www.pugrescuenc.org Email us:  admin@pugrescuenc.org      July 5, 2025, 4:43 pm
