✨Meet the bravest and strongest boy, Troy!✨ After a ruff start, Troy is ready for adoption. Troy was hit by a car and underwent surgery in December for a broken pelvis, which included a plate and screws. He recently had follow up imaging showing that he is healing well and is walking completely unassisted and weight bearing, an overall happy boy. Troy is truly a miracle dog! 💙Currently working on rebuilding muscle strength in his hind end and gaining weight 💙He does well supervised on the couch with a person 💙He sleeps soundly in his pen through the night 💙Crate trained and content in his pen 💙Housebroken, always asks to go outside! 💙Great on the leash 💙Takes treats and food nicely 💙A gentleman with ear cleaning and paw wiping ❤️Requires a secure, fenced-in yard ❤️He is not permitted to run or jump, take stairs, or play with other dogs yet to ensure continued progress in his recovery ❤️Cannot jump on or off furniture Troy says: I'm a beautiful, blue eyed 3 year old boy ready to settle in with my furever family. I'm a tricolored beagle with light brown ticking on my legs that my foster mom calls my freckles! She always tells me that I am the sweetest boy; I love to snuggle up and cuddle alongside you on the couch. I will hold your hand with my paws and tuck it under my chin 💙 My foster mom says I am the most quiet beagle ever! She works from home and I nap and relax while she is on the phone or in meetings. I only bark or let out a howl when she takes too long feeding me! I need a home with a secure, fenced-in yard and with humans who understand I will need some time before I can run and jump. A patient family who understands my breed and my love for sniffing is ideal! I have a nose that works overtime and am always curious about what the humans are eating or drinking, so I need a household that will be mindful of food or beverages being left out. I have met many visitors in my foster home, men and women, and have loved everyone. I do best when humans let me sniff and take my time getting comfortable with them before they try to pet me since I can be a little timid at first. Once I get to know you, I love being petted, held, head and chin scratches, and ear rubs. I will fall asleep with my head in your hands! I would also do well with a family who is open to doing basic obedience training with me. I love to take walks and explore, am great on the leash, but I need some help with verbal commands. http://www.coldnosewarmheart.org/dog-application.html @cnwhnj @coldnosewarmheartnj
