Susie

My story

Susie is a 15 month old spayed Australian Cattle Dog Susie loves to play! Whether it be with her human or her k-9 friends. Her current bestie is a 7 lb Chihuahua puppy. Shes respectful of boundries and is aware of her size. Her other bestie is a 70 lb pit bull and he’s old so she is extra gentle with him. Susie is a lover. Zero aggression with food or toys and would rather walk away than be confrontational. She’s a little shy but warms up quickly. She has to trust the boys and once she does, they are her best friends. She’s easily trained and treat driven. She will sit quietly in the house and watch your every move, just say the word and she’s ready to go! When I leave the house, I say “Get in your cribby” and she goes into her crate. I throw a few kibbles in and she will sit quietly for up to 7 hours. When we go to bed at night, she sleeps in her crate and doesn’t make a peep. She will sit by the door if she has to go out. She’s completely housebroken with no accidents. She is great in the car and sits quietly in the back. She walks nicely on the leash and obeys commands. She like to surf the counter. I’ve used some strategies and it’s worked. She loves to run! And she’s fast! She’s tall and leggy and she can get up some speed. This is my second foster with an Australian cattle dog and I will admit, I have come to the conclusion that this is now my favorite breed. Loyal, gentle, kind, loving, goofy and a pleaser.
