My story

Meet Scout– Your Big-Hearted Best Friend in the Making! This gentle giant-in-training is a 9-month-old Great Pyrenees, Pit Bull, Terrier mix with a heart as big as his paws! Vinny is full of love, curiosity, and the kind of playful energy that comes with puppyhood. He is a social butterfly who absolutely loves other dogs and people, and would be thrilled to have a canine sibling—or at least frequent adventures to the dog park where he can run with other dogs and play fetch. He is at his best in the company of other dogs and people. Scout is incredibly sweet and affectionate, and enjoys cuddling up and lounging around the house when he's not exploring the yard. While he still has bursts of that classic puppy enthusiasm, he’s eager to learn and thrives with positive guidance. He has quickly learned sit, down, and off and is working on recall with his foster family. He is also learning “leave it” to help redirect from frequent chewing on toys and small objects. He would do best in a home with a family that has children 10+, who can provide structure, give clear commands, and help him continue to grow into a well-mannered adult dog. He is treat motivated and eager to please. If you're looking for a loyal, loving companion who’s equal parts playful and snuggly, Scout might just be your perfect match!
