Scarlet

My story

Meet Scarlet, a 3-year-old mixed breed who came to Big Dog Ranch after being rescued from a shelter in Miami-Dade County. Soon after she arrived, she gave birth to nine puppies, all of whom have since found loving homes. Now, it’s Scarlet’s turn to be the one cared for. This sweet girl has a moderate energy level and enjoys a good balance of playtime and quiet companionship. She loves her toys and is always happy to snuggle up close to her favorite people. Though she can be a bit shy or timid at first, once she feels safe, her affectionate and gentle nature shines through. Scarlet gets along well with other dogs and would do well in a home with a canine friend to help build her confidence. She’s a great match for a first-time dog owner who’s patient and kind, and willing to give her the time and space she needs to adjust to her new surroundings. After giving so much love to her puppies, Scarlet is more than ready for a home where she’s the one being cherished.
