My story

Meet Taco – Your Playful Shadow! Taco is a sleek, short-furred black panther and mesmerizing orange eyes. Quick on her feet and full of curiosity, she loves to be right in the middle of whatever her humans are doing—especially if it means getting extra pets! Whether you're knitting, working, or just relaxing, Taco will be there, rubbing against you and soaking up your attention. Though still a little skittish, Taco is more confident every day, and has a sweet, affectionate nature. She has been around children, older cats, and dogs, but would do best in a quieter home with older children who can respect her space. Taco would thrive with a patient adopter who will let her continue to build her confidence—especially if she has a feline friend, like her sister Frida, by her side. If you’re looking for a loving, playful, and curious companion, Taco is ready to be your new best friend! Taco is currently in a foster home. If you are interested in meeting her, please send a message here, or email adopt@ahsem.org. Adoption fees are as follows: $155 for a single cat or kitten, $195 for a pair of cats or kittens. When adopting a cat from AHSEM the adoption includes spay or neuter surgery, age appropriate core vaccines, microchipping, combo tested (for FIV/FeLV), and basic wellness care including deworming and flea treatment.
