Lil Monkey

My story

Lil Monkey’s journey has been one of resilience and hope. She was rescued by Smittens, with the help of the Feral Cat Coalition, along with 11 other cats after their previous rescue shut down. Left abandoned and placed in the care of an estate sale company, these cats endured heartbreaking conditions - some confined to filthy cages for up to five years with little socialization or care. Despite her rough past, Lil Monkey has shown incredible strength. Thankfully, she’s in good health and has been making steady progress with her dedicated foster mom, who spends time with her every day to build trust and help her feel safe. She’s learning to enjoy the comforts of a loving home - she loves playing with feather toys on a string and has even started seeking out attention from her foster mom! Lil Monkey is a loving and affectionate sweetheart who now confidently roams her foster home, enjoying the company of her feline foster siblings and even coming when called. She’s also slowly being introduced to dogs, showing promising signs of adjustment. Now, Lil Monkey is ready for a patient, understanding home where she can continue to grow in confidence and reveal her sweet personality. With time, love, and stability, she’s sure to blossom into a wonderful companion.
