My story

Popcorn (AKA: Poppy) is a 2.5-year-old lovebug with a heart almost as big as her appetite. She first caught people’s attention when she was rescued with her head stuck in an empty snack jug–a moment that perfectly sums up her goofy charm and passion for treats. Since that snack-tastrophe, Popcorn has become the ultimate underdog success story. Thanks to the support of her fosters, Friends of Long Beach Animals, Dr. Courtney Campbell, the team at Stitches Veterinary Surgery, and donors, Popcorn is now healing from two major knee surgeries and is well on her way to living her best, zoomie-filled life. Popcorn is affectionate, smart, treat-motivated, and endlessly cuddly. She’ll happily roll onto her back in your lap and thrives on attention and play. She’s dog-friendly, gentle, and goofy in all the best ways–a joyful companion who wants nothing more than to love and be loved.
