My story

Quick Facts Name: Bamba  Age: 3.5 years old  Gender: Male  Neutered/Spayed: Yes Breed: Sapsali Mix  Color: Black &White  Weight: 15kg    All About MeHello, future family! My name is Bamba, and I’m a 3.5-year-old Sapsali mix with a fluffy black-and-white coat and a heart full of warmth. I spent 1 year and 10 months in a shelter in Wanju, South Korea, waiting for my forever home. Even though life in the shelter was long, I always kept my tail wagging. I shared my space with many other dogs and never had any trouble—I’m a friendly guy who loves companionship! When visitors passed by my kennel, I’d poke my nose through the fence and wag my tail as if to say, “Look at me! I’m ready for love!”   My Health Fully vaccinated•   Core, Coronavirus, Rabies (Feb 25, 2025)•   Kennel Cough, Influenza (Mar 9, 2025) Heartworm negative (Feb 25, 2025) No known allergies No history of surgery or medical issues Dental cleaning completed (Mar 9, 2025)   My PersonalityI have a big, happy heart and love people! Whether I’m meeting someone for the first time or spending time with my favorite humans, I always greet with a wagging tail and a bright smile. I love attention, and if you give me a little time, I’ll quickly warm up to you. A treat always helps, too! I’m confident and friendly, but if I’m in a brand-new place, I take a moment to observe my surroundings. If someone or another dog appears suddenly, I might pause to take it all in—but give me a moment, and I’ll be back to wagging my tail in no time. Once I feel comfortable, I love to run, play, and follow my favorite people around! I may not be the type to instantly jump into play with other dogs, but I enjoy polite introductions. If a dog friend is respectful, I’ll warm up and may even invite them to play after a little while!   My Social Life With People: I love meeting new people! I may take a second to adjust in a new space, but I’m friendly and love gentle pets. With Other Dogs: I enjoy saying hello but don’t always jump straight into playtime. Given a little time, I might invite a friend to play! With Cats: I haven’t met a cat yet, so I’m not sure how I’d react.   On My WalksI love exploring, and I’m great at following my human’s lead. If you call me, I’ll look back and come toward you—I love checking in with my person! Sometimes, I get excited and pull on the leash a little, but I listen well. If there are lots of people or cars, I might pause for a moment, but I trust my human and will follow their lead. If you stop to give me a reassuring pet, I’ll take a deep breath and keep going!   Life at HomeSettling In: I adapt well to new routines and bond quickly with my family. After just a few hours—or a day together—I’ll already be comfortable enough for belly rubs or even a little grooming!Car Rides: I feel safest when being carried into the car, but once inside, I might drool or pant a little. A bit of patience and short trips will help me get more comfortable!Food & Treats: I don’t guard my food and happily share with people or other dogs. I like to eat my meals in small portions throughout the day, but when it comes to treats? I love them all!House Training: I prefer outdoor potty breaks and might mark in new places at first, but with gentle guidance, I’ll learn the rules.New Visitors: I love meeting new people and will happily greet them. But if a new dog or person appears suddenly in an unfamiliar place, I might take a moment to observe before relaxing.    My Ideal HomeI’d love a home with: A Loving Family – I adore people and will form a deep bond with those who give me time and care. A Safe Space to Adjust – I’m adaptable, but I appreciate gentle introductions to new places and experiences. I spent too long time in a shelter. Room to Explore & Play – I love outdoor adventures, and running in an open space with my favorite person makes me the happiest!   Special NotesI may take a little time to explore a new environment, but once I do, I bloom into the most loving and loyal companion.
