My story

Hello again, world! It’s me—Bruiser, but my foster family lovingly calls me Boomer (because of my booming bark… though I rarely use it!). I’m still searching for my forever family—one that loves car rides, leisurely walks, hikes, and most of all, giving and receiving love. 💖 Let me tell you a little about myself: 🐶 I **prefer a calm, quiet home**—those pesky foster puppies around here? They drive me bonkers! 🐶 A vet once said I’m deaf… but don’t be fooled! I hear just fine—especially when the treat bag opens. I just have selective hearing (you get it, right?). 😏 🐶 I **love toys and food**—maybe a little too much! I didn’t get much food back in New Mexico, so now I’m a certified treat connoisseur. 🐶 I know how to **sit for treats**, use the **doggy door**, and I’m smart enough to learn even more with a little patience and love. 🐶 I enjoy time at my favorite boarding place in Bennett when my foster parents travel—they say I’m a **perfect guest** and don’t need a leash on sniff walks! I’m an older gentleman with a few quirks, but hey—who isn’t? I don’t need a perfect home, just one with understanding, patience, and lots of love to give. My foster family says I’ve made great progress and they’ll be happy to share more about me.
