Howdy all. I'm INSPIRE (Blue) and here is a bit of info on me:Breed: Husky mixAge: 3 yearsGender: maleWeight: 20 kgHeight: 58 cmCountry of origin: LebanonHighlights: friensly, playful, sociable, good vehicle traveler, goofy, happy Are you ready to be inspired? I'm all about bringing you an upbeat look on life and inspiring you to the heights of happiness.I was found hiding under piles of trash by the side of the road with my sister. We were young puppies, around 5 months of age, extremely skinny, starving and dehydrated. The video of our rescue shows tis drinking water for over 3 minutes straight. In typical husky fashion, my goofy personality is hard to miss. My exaggerated facial expressions and floppy ears were characteristic as a puppy, and still are - I am still the same quirky little puppy today, 2 years later.A few months after I was rescued, I had a sudden health decline, and was diagnosed with meningitis. It developed quickly, and luckily was caught early. I was hospitalized and treated for the condition and made a miraculous full recovery. Since then, I have been living with my foster mom and foster sister Zoey (also posted.)I am the epitome of 'social butterfly' amongst my foster group and make sure everyone joins in on the fun.I get along well with dogs and my bond with my foster sister Zoe is a true testament to my friendly, loving nature. While neither cats nor kids have been a part of my repertoire, my friendly nature may well lend to a good relationship with either. While I may be fearful of men at first meet, with a slow intro... and some treats, I readily warm up. No issue with women and have developed strong relationships with men, as well. I just need a little time to feel safe at first. I do well walking on a leash, though am inclined to tug when over aroused. I alao travel well in the car.I have established a special place in the hearts of my foster. She admits she will miss me the most. Energy level: highI get along with:Dogs: yesCats: unknownKids: unknown Fears: Afraid of men at first. Warms quickily, given slow intro and treats.Training:Leash trained: mostly. Please be prepared to continue training.House trained: Yes. Please help me learn where to go in my new home. Health notes: Fully recovered from meningitis, clean bill of health past 2 years.I have been spayed/neutered, vaccinated and soon microchipped. My adoption fee is $800.00 CAD plus applicable taxes. This includes my transportation to Canada, if I am able to be accompanied by a flight volunteer directly to Vancouver. Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ and read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue. Please Note: LALDR highly encourages adopters to research some local dog trainers before their dog arrives. Although a 1-on-1 trainer is often not needed, it is good to have someone in mind in case any problematic behaviours arise. Most bad behaviours can be modified if caught early enough, so make sure to nip undesirable behaviours in the bud before they become serious problems.Basic training should be taken seriously, but should not begin until your dog is well settled in - at least a couple of weeks. After you feel your new dog is relaxed and comfortable in their new home, check out training courses in your local area. Even basic beginner courses like those taught at a local pet store can have a huge benefit in helping your dog learn to socialize and get used to being in public situations, all with the added benefit of strengthening their bond with you. Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. However if a dog has been determined to be good with children we will approve applicants with children 8 years or older. More information can be found on our website. The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess, so we are not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs.Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters. LALDR does not have access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person adopting them and the environment in which they live. While most dogs find escorting passengers flying directly to Vancouver, some will find flights through Toronto or Montreal. In that case, additional fees will apply to fly your dog to Vancouver by cargo. Unaccompanied cargo costs within Canada range from $350 - $550 depending on the size of the dog. LALDR will be as transparent as possible with you regarding these costs. [MID-EAST] *Vaccinations: Dogs from the Middle East are vaccinated for rabies, parvo, distemper, leptospirosis, adenovirus type 1 and para-influenza. Bordetella is not given, as that has not been a problem in the Middle East.[TURKEY] Dogs from Turkey receive a 4D SNAP test to include Heartworm, Ehrlichiosis, Leishmania and Anaplasmosis. ##2319415##
